Building a Seriously Sturdy A-Frame

Elevate your swing set project to new heights with our frame bracket set. We recommend using a kiln-dried 4x6-114” top beam and four kiln-dried 4x4-96” side support legs. Constructing a basic A-Frame is straightforward, with dimensions of 12'L x 8'D x 7'8"H.

Easy Installation Process

1. Secure the Swing Brackets: Begin by attaching the swing brackets to the 4x6 top beam.
2. Assemble the Frame: Position the 4x4 legs and slide them into the brackets. Ensure the beam is flat on the ground (top down).
3. Pre-Drill Holes: Before tightening, pre-drill holes for the lag screws to ensure a secure fit.
4. Add Stability: For extra stability, consider adding a 2x4 crossbeam between the legs.

Important Notes

Bracket Openings:
- Measurements: 3-5/8” x 5-5/8” and 3-5/8” x 3-5/8”. - Top Beam Limitation: The length of the 4x6 top beam should be shorter than 114 inches. If longer, the beam may bend and compromise the structure.
